Jarrod Jones is at Darüşşafaka Tekfen! Our US born power forward has signed a one-year contract with our team. Following a 4-year university career with Ball State, Jones made his way to Europe in 2012 and spent his early career in various Hungarian League teams where he won two league titles. In 2016-2017, he transferred to the Italian League team Victoria Libertas Pesaro. In 2017-2018 season, he moved to Pınar Karşıyaka. Our new transfer, which is 2.06 cm tall, attracted attention with its effective performance in Turkish Super League and Basketball Champions League. He averaged 17 points, 6 rebounds, 1.8 assists in the Basketball Super League, and 18 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists in the Basketball Champions League. Jones, who also has a Hungarian passport and plays for the national team, played at 7DAYS EuroCup last season with AS Monaco. He played an important role in his team’s first position finish at the group stage of EuroCup. He started 9 games out of 16, averaging 9 points 5.5 rebounds and 1 assist in his campaign.
